I just started my Parkour journey 3 months ago. I remember discovering your videos on youtube back then and when I found out your age I must say that it really encouraged me to push myself and train hard even at the age of 27. Thank you for that and all the best.
Zeno thanks on your advice on parkour! I thought that parkour was just some sport, but when I came across your blog, I realized the mistake that I've done and decided to change. These was like 3 months ago, but I would like to thank you for pushing me into the right direction.
Displacement is movement... How an obstacle manipulates/effects the shape of your body, and Vice versa. What form of movement you need to move round, under, over or through an obstacle.
I didn't even know what Parkour was until a few day ago when, looking for some video about Glasgow (I teach English in Spain), I found one of yours. It was just mesmerizing, the equilibrium, the inner strenght, the sense of calm and peace I got from it. I lost the video because the internet shut down, but managed to find it again yesterday ... and it has been so inspiring. I am a girl, and I am 34 ... and I am not in good shape! Still I love what I see in your videos, also because you are sincere and make people understand you cannot rush into something like Parkour (or anything else!), it's hours and hours of training and failing and trying again, and changing.
I won't start with the Parkour jumps or movements today, not even tomorrow or in a month or six, but I have had a sort of enlightment too with the advice you give in one of your posts (about life in general) ... maybe in 1 year I can come back here and tell you I am fit enough to start learning the basics. Keep up the good work!
p.s. I love seeing bits and pieces of my beloved Glasgow through your videos too!
I am part of the Glasgow Parkour scene, Scotland, UK.
I do Parkour because it is a discipline and life time skill, which enables me to improve myself mentally and physically overcoming obstacles in my mind, life and in my environment. I also like to help others.
Parkour locations that I have visited:
Glasgow, London, PK11, Lisses, Edinburgh, Clydebank, Rendezvous 2, A.D.D Yamakasi Academy at Evry & Rendezvous 3.

I always have respect for the older ones starting out and training hard.

Oh, one more thing.... I would like to know the meaning of "displacement".... Can you enlighten me?
